Lantra Awards offers a wide range of quality training programmes, which are only available through a network of quality assured training providers and instructors. Many of our courses provide both training and assessment, so that at the end of the course you know whether you have reached the Lantra Awards standard. If you are successful you will be awarded a Lantra Awards Certificate of Basic Training and nationally recognised Skill ID card which are valid for 5 years.

Training is now a legal requirement for many businesses. The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) require employers to provide adequate training for employees. The law states that that machinery and vehicles must only be operated by employees who have received appropriate training in their safe use. If you are self employed the regulations still apply. Certification in these areas is becoming increasingly important to meet Health and Safety requirements.

We can offer Lantra approved integrated training and assessment courses in the following:

· Sit-in ATVs (Argo Cat, Scottrac, Mules and Polaris)
· Sit-on ATVs (quad bike) courses includes braking and cornering, use of throttle and gears crossing obstacles, hills and slopes - also includes trailer training and loading implements - such as assessment of loads, type of terrain and effect on load, reversing and obstacles
· Off-road driving course includes emergency procedures, jacking, use of 4-wheel drive and traction aids and a variety of off-road situations
· Winch handling

We also offer training courses in:
· Defensive driving
· Trailer handling (useful skills for towing trailers, caravans and horseboxes)
